Books
The following is a partial list of books that I have found helpful for many of my clients. For convenience, I have included links to amazon.com.

This book explains the nature of intrusive thoughts and how common (and often disturbing) they are.
This is one of the better DBT books that I have found that simply and clearly explains DBT principles and skills.
While this book is not a particularly easy book to read, it does a good job of explaining why there is no single approach to anger management.
I really like the simplicity of this book. It may seem light at first, but it is grounded in good and valuable research.
